Sirru Fen Fushi Private Lagoon Resort hosts an exclusive Behind the Bar experience, a two-day celebration of contemporary mixology, creative flair, and inspiring craftmanship. As part of the resort’s special Easter programme, the event brought together the artistry of Modernhaus, led by Bar Manager Upay Aldi, and the tropical creativity of The Cocktail Club with Co-Founder Mirwansyah Bule, both from Indonesia.

Throughout both evenings, guests were invited behind the bar to discover the inventive spirit of two remarkable talents whose work has earned Modernhaus a place among Asia’s 50 Best Bars. From storytelling and technique to flavour exploration, their presence brought an elevated, immersive dimension to Sirru Fen Fushi’s signature dining scene.

The duo showcased a selection of truly imaginative cocktails, crafted with distinctive ingredients such as cempaka-infused whisky, hibiscus ginger maple, wasabi spirit, jasmine peach, coconut chai milk, salted tamarind, yuzu whey, salted fino sherry, sake gomme, guava vodka, Thai tea liqueur, and malic. Each sip was a reflection of their creative approach, blending tropical character with contemporary sophistication and a deep sense of artistry.

Across the two evenings, guests were treated to contrasting yet equally captivating experiences. At Kata, the Japanese-fusion restaurant set above the lagoon, the event unfolded against a breathtaking sunset, where refined cocktails and elevated mixology took centre stage. The following evening at Raha Market, the atmosphere shifted to a relaxed, beachside setting, with guests enjoying handcrafted cocktails. Both nights delivered an effortless sense of sophistication, each enhanced by Sirru Fen Fushi’s stunning natural backdrop.
