The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands announces the return of Chef Aminath, an award-winning culinary professional and founder of Maldivian Patisserie. With international training and extensive experience in high-end pastry and chocolate production, Chef Aminath has earned multiple accolades, including Best Maldivian Pastry Chef 2022, Gold Medals at the Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives Awards, and recognition at the Asian Pastry Cup in Singapore. She has previously led pastry kitchens at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, Waldorf Astoria Maldives, CONRAD Maldives Rangali Island, and Dolce Italia Bakery in Sri Lanka.
Returning to the resort where her journey in luxury culinary excellence began, Chef Aminath presents A Taste of Homecoming, a collaboration that celebrates craftsmanship, creativity, and community.
The bespoke collection features an array of handcrafted treats, including Kanamadhu Dragée, Five-spice Hazelnut Dragée, Cinnamon Hazelnut Dragée, Cashew Cardamon Dragée, Orange Almond Dragée, Almond Florentine, Cranberry Macadamia Cookie, Coconut Latte Cookie, and Palmiers. Each creation is inspired by the Maldives—luxurious yet authentic, local yet globally influenced—and reflects the artistry and dedication of one of the country’s most celebrated female entrepreneurs. The collection is displayed and available in a dedicated retail space at La Locanda restaurant, inviting guests to discover and take home a taste of Maldivian craftsmanship.
