Nova Maldives and Eri Maldives has announced the appointment of Naufal Naeem as Cluster Director of Sales, overseeing the commercial strategy for Nova Maldives, and the newly launched Eri Maldives.
With over a decade of experience in the Maldives’ luxury hospitality sector, Naufal brings a strong background in driving sales growth, strengthening trade partnerships, and expanding presence across key international markets.
In his new position, Naufal will oversee sales direction and market strategy for both island resorts, with a focus on driving sustainable revenue, deepening partner engagement, and ensuring each property’s positioning is clearly reflected across priority markets. His appointment comes at a timely moment for Pulse Hotels & Resorts, as Nova continues to grow its presence as a soulful community-focused island resort, and Eri Maldives enters an important new chapter as the group’s latest resort opening. Naufal will spearhead growth for both resorts across key markets.
Naufal recently served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Noku Maldives, Vignette Collection (IHG), where he led commercial planning and supported the resorts brand alignment and go-to market approach. Before that, he held the role of Director of Sales at Nova Maldives, guiding the resort through a significant brand transition and expanding relationships across Europe, the GCC, and India. His earlier experience includes senior commercial roles at Pulse Hotels & Resorts’ flagship resort, Kandima Maldives, contributing to growth through campaign execution, partnerships, and segmentation planning.
Commenting on the appointment, Abdulla Aboobakuru, General Manager of Nova Maldives, said: “Naufal brings an excellent balance of market knowledge and commercial leadership. As we continue building momentum for Nova, his experience will be a key asset in deepening our partnerships and driving performance.” Haroon Mohamed, General Manager of Eri Maldives, adds: “As we introduce Eri to the market, we are counting on Naufal’s deep industry relationships to help place Eri, the Island of becoming, firmly on the map for purposeful escapists and conscious travellers seeking an authentic Maldivian escape rooted in sustainable living, cultural richness, and wellness-focused experiences.”
Naufal added: “I’m excited to step into this role at such an important time for both island resorts. Nova has a strong identity and loyal following, and Eri represents a fresh new opportunity. I look forward to working closely with both teams and our partners to build long-term growth across our key markets.”
