COMO Maalifushi has unveiled its festive programme for the 2026 holiday season, inviting guests to celebrate Christmas and welcome the New Year with a collection of culinary experiences, wellness rituals and island adventures. Taking place from 24 December 2026 to 1 January 2027, the programme brings together festive traditions, family-friendly activities and special celebrations in the tranquil surroundings of the Maldives.
The festivities begin on Christmas Eve with a sunrise dive, followed by an intimate champagne breakfast for two, festive cocktails and a Christmas Roast and Toast at Thila. Families can also enjoy an afternoon aqua safari before gathering at Tai Beach for Santa’s arrival and festive cocktails. The evening culminates in Christmas Around the World, a five-course dining experience across Madi, Thila and the poolside, accompanied by live music and entertainment.
Throughout the festive period, COMO Maalifushi will present a series of distinctive dining experiences across its restaurants. Highlights include a sushi, nigiri and temaki experience with sake pairing at Tai, a four-course wine dinner hosted by a visiting sommelier at Thila, and a Japanese yakiniku dinner paired with sake. Guests can also enjoy Indian specialities, gourmet burgers, fresh seafood and a lobster and champagne dinner, alongside themed cocktail evenings and sunset aperitifs.
Wellness remains central to the celebrations, with COMO Shambhala offering experiences designed to encourage relaxation and rejuvenation. The programme includes golden hour yoga, family wellness treatments, celestial moonlit sound healing and a wellness talk with visiting practitioner Kimberly Rose. Guests can also indulge in the Festive Glow Ritual on New Year’s Eve, while the first day of 2027 begins with a complimentary yoga session and the New Year, New You wellness experience.
Beyond dining and wellness, the resort offers a variety of ocean adventures and recreational activities for guests of all ages. From festive catamaran sailing and sunset snorkelling cruises to guided marine biologist snorkelling, coral planting and sunrise fishing aboard a traditional dhoni, the programme provides opportunities to explore the natural beauty of the Maldives. Families can participate in water sports and aqua safaris, while sporting enthusiasts can join a two-day padel tournament and sunset volleyball sessions.
The highlight of the festive season will be COMO Maalifushi’s Tropical Gatsby New Year’s Eve celebration on 31 December. Guests will begin the evening with sunset cocktails at Turtle Beach before gathering at Madi Beach for a gala dinner featuring live music and entertainment. As midnight approaches, the celebrations will continue with a New Year’s countdown, fireworks and DJ performances to welcome 2027.
The celebrations extend into New Year’s Day with wellness activities, a New Year’s lunch soirée at Thila, sunset snorkelling adventures and an evening dining experience featuring live culinary stations at Madi.
